Harsha Purasinghe selected as Eisenhower Fellow 2014
September 2014 – Harsha Purasinghe, CEO and Founder of Microimage has been selected as a 2014 Eisenhower Fellow, a prestigious award given annually by the Eisenhower Foundation. He got entitled for this achievement from a pool of international applicants. Harsha will travel to the US later this month to participate in the 2014 Eisenhower Innovation Program.
During the journey of the fellowship in US, Microimage CEO will traverse through aspects such as social innovation, entrepreneurship and social enterprises where he will be able to apply them to improve and sustain a good platform in Sri Lanka. It will be an incentive for people to innovate and produce effective social enterprises which will be a contribution to tweak overall socio-economic development.
Harsha formed Microimage at the age of 19 which now has become a dominant organization majored in Human Capital Management, Media/Broadcast, Mobile and Digital Convergence. Since his debut, he was able to produce notable products namely, Microimage, Microimage Mobile Media, Microimage HCM Asia and WSO2 Mobile during the span of two decades.
Eisenhower Fellowships identify leaders around the globe and facilitate to bring out their professional capabilities and enlarge their contacts and incorporate with each other to from a diversified global community. A network where dialogue, understanding, and collaboration lead to a more prosperous, just, and peaceful world.
Each year, Eisenhower brings out 25 fellows in the intention of stimulating the professional capabilities of leaders across the globe. These fellows will take part in a two month program where they will travel to 9-12 cities seating for 60-80 meetings with US leaders belonging to their specialized field.
